Here's something great and funky! WATERMELON RADISHES - unconventionally grown specialty produce from Windfall Farms in Montgomery, NY. "A farm growing around 200 varieties of vegetables and fruit with no pesticides, no herbicides, no insecticides, or chemical fertilizers=unconventional". A light flavor, with an excellent crunch. A wonderful accessory for your salad :)

Today we decided to do something a little different. Due to seasonal conditions, we had to get creative with what we're serving for our farm fresh Friday. So what did we do? We went to the man who knows best- our executive chef, Adam. Today he shows you how we prepared today's fresh veggies, roasted local sun chokes (a.k.a Jerusalem artichokes) and purple fingerling potatoes from Berried Treasures Farm in Roscoe, NY. Check it out!

Sometimes things are beyond our control and such was this week with the situation with our Farm Fresh Friday. With the perfect storm of the weather being harsh this week, the selection and quality of the produce we were seeing, we felt it best to postpone purchasing this week.
We stand by or philosophy of fresh, healthy eating and if we are not thrilled by what we are seeing out there, we wouldn't want to compromise good eating and quality for the sake of maintaining our themed Friday.
Have a great weekend and we will see you next week!
