For today's blog post, we wanted to feature a story we recently covered for our monthly newsletter. We really believe in bettering the environment, and hope you do too. Don't receive our monthly newsletter? Click here to sign up!
Happy October, Fresh Faces! This month we want to focus on an ever growing trend around the country that we have taken part in. At Fresh & Co., we do not use plastic bags for customer use of any kind.
If you look at many recent news stories, communities around the country such as Aspen, Colorado have started to place a ban on plastic bags, or are currently looking into this as an option like San Clemente, CA and the campus of UC Berkeley. More municipalities and cities are bringing the idea of banning plastic bags to life every day.

Focusing on the environment is something that we strive to do at Fresh & Co. It is estimated that 380 billion plastic bags are used every year in just the United States alone. That startling statistic breaks down to about 1200 bags per US resident, and only 1% of that number are actually being recycled.
Help the environment and use paper bags that can be recycled, like we do here at Fresh & Co. Even better, invest in reusable bags that are being sold in numerous stores across the city to help you carry your belongings around.
We only get one Mother Nature; let's take care of her together.
